Valentine's Day brings with it a beautiful reminder of love, compassion, and the power of coming together for a cause.

With only 10 days remaining until the Coldest Night of the Year event on February 24th, your dedication and commitment to fundraising means the world to us.

Every step you take and every dollar you raise goes directly towards providing essential support and resources to the SHOW residents. Your enthusiasm and passion are making a real difference in their lives.

Here are all the essential details you'll need for the event day:

Date: February 24th

Location: First United Church (16 William St. W., Waterloo) Please use the Caroline Street entrance

Agenda for the Evening:

4:00pm Check-in and Registration Opens
4:45pm: Opening Remarks
4:55pm: Group Picture at Start Line
5:00pm: 2km and 5km Walkers Begin their Walk
5:45pm: Walker’s Will Start Returning to First United
6pm: Event Activities and Dinner Begin
6:45pm: Closing Remarks and Thank You’s

Parking: There is parking beside and across from the Church. Parking is free for 2 hours and then free after 5pm, which should ensure free parking for all participants. Please DO NOT park in the church parking lot for the safety of our walkers.

Route: Our walk route will take us through the heart of our community, from William Street to King Street. Our 2km walkers will walk up King Street and turn around at Spring Street whereas the 5km walkers will continue down King Street to Columbia and then head back to First United Church.

Event Activities: In addition to the walk, we have some exciting activities planned for you! Upon your return, join us for a delicious dinner of vegetarian chili, perfect for warming up after the walk. We'll also have a photo booth, some fun activities, and opportunities to connect with fellow participants and supporters.

Special Guests: We're thrilled to announce that we'll have some VIP guests joining us for the event, including Mayor McCabe, former Board member and current Waterloo Region Police Chief, Mark Crowell, and a few more 😊 Their presence will add to the warmth and community spirit of the evening, and SHOW is honored to have them walk and support this important cause.
